Cellulite Treatment | Charleston WV with Aveli
Cellulite Treatment | Charleston WV | Minimally Invasive
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite is a depression of any shape or size seen on the surface of the skin, typically on the buttocks or thighs. A major underlying cause of cellulite are the fibrous bands that tether your skin to the structures below. These bands are called septa. Septa are Complex. They can be different for different women or in different parts of the body. Some septa are good (and you want them as connective tethers), but others stiffen or shrink over time and lead to the dimples we see on the surface and call cellulite.
How it Works
While many treatments approach cellulite blindly from the outside-in, Avéli is the only minimally invasive procedure that uses a hand held device guided by an expertly trained provider—to manually target and release the septa bands causing cellulite from the inside-out.
Dr. Thaxton guides the Avéli™ device under the skin directly to the targeted dimples. After he identifies the culprit septa bands causing a dimple, he precisely releases those septa. He confirms release. This delivers visibly smoother skin and a lasting result.
Aveli treats the primary structural cause of cellulite—the connective bands woven throughout fat in the thighs and buttocks. These tight bands pull down the skin, creating the puckering you see on the surface of the skin. Similar to a rubber band under tension, once released, the treated skin bounces back to smooth itself out in as little as three days.
Limited Downtime
After the Aveli® cellulite treatment, patients can go about their day, but may want to take it easy for up to 24-48 hours. The most common side effects reported by patients are soreness and bruising.
